Communication and media have always captured my interest. I started to work for local radio stations and newspapers very young, in the second half of the 90s. With internet, I transformed a passion into a profession. In 2003, a student portal created in my university in Lecce (ProgettoUniversitas), was the runner-up among the best web communities at the Italian Web Awards.
From 2010 to 2016 I worked at the British Council, the UK cultural organisation, starting as Business Development Manager, then Marketing Manager and, eventually, Digital Manager for the European region, moving from Rome to Milan and then to Brussels.
Later, among various roles, I have been in charge of digital marketing for a Belgian fintech active in equity crowdfunding and venture capital, supporting innovative and sustainable start-ups (MyMicroInvest, today Spreds). As a digital marketing consultant, I also worked for a multinational corporation in the recruiting sector (ManpowerGroup), for a law firm focused on banking and tax and as a social media manager in the financial services sector (SWIFT). At the moment I am a senior venture builder for Bundl, an innovative company which co-create corporate ventures adopting an innovative methodology that can lead to extraordinary results in a short time.
In 2017 I founded the digital marketing consulting company Oltre.Digital. Through it, thanks to an extensive network of expertise, I provide advice in various areas including SEO, web analytics, online advertising, social media marketing, user experience, lead generation, conversion rate optimization, influencer marketing, performance marketing, e-commerce. In parallel, it has been developing some projects like Wireless.Education and SpaccioItalia.

Since 2005 I have developed a passion for photography. After working extensively with Canon digital cameras, in recent years, I have also increasingly used smartphones, including faster mobile post-production that gained prominence over Adobe Photoshop. I try to make iconic images capable of identifying stories and places.
My Flickr account has +10M views, and over the years, some of my works have been published by prestigious media and institutions including UNESCO, the Carabinieri, the European Commission, the London School of Economics.
During a political debate at the Imperial College in London, 2018
Discussing political issues has always fascinated me since I was young. I believe in the promotion of different forms of direct democracy. For this, I took part in initiatives aimed at achieving these objectives. I believe in the value of a state that is present but not intrusive, efficient and transparent, which severely punishes episodes of corruption and privileges meritocracy, rewarding good practices, without ever neglecting solidarity.
After a few years of radical/liberal/libertarian militancy characterized by battles for civil rights – during which I was also a student representative at the university – since 2006 I took part in the MeetUp Amici di Beppe Grillo, participating in the foundation of the Lecce group in 2006. As a consequence, since 2009, I have been registered with the 5 Star Movement.
In 2018, after passing an online selection, I was among the candidates for the Chamber of Deputies in the Foreign / Europe division, obtaining over 6000 preferences (thanks all!) resulting the second of the non-elected. After this experience, I quit any political activism, following the debate as any ordinary citizen.
Since very young, I have always been fascinated by geographical atlases, maps, elements of the territory and their uniqueness, singularities, lists and statistics.
In 2009 I obtained a PhD in Economic Geography at the University of Bari, the culmination of a research path from which eventually I moved away embracing new professional ‘territories’. However, I found geography in many aspects of my current job (for example geomarketing). I am a member of the Italian Geographic Society.
Unfortunately, nowadays geographical disciplines in Italy are increasingly marginalised in teaching and research programs. Consequently, the related qualifications are less and less required in the professional field, although Geography plays a central and leading role in many areas.
I write whenever I feel the need, I find it a therapeutic exercise. I experimented self-publishing with a collection titled “Glossario del Nulla” (Glossary of Nothing) published in 2012 and available via Amazon and other distribution channels. Its content, together with more recent stuff, are also published on the personal blog postplex.
Since young age, in my spare time, I have enjoyied electronic music production with different software – starting from the legendary Fast Tracker II, more recently Propellerhead Reason.
In 2018, I published Random Pleasures, a collection of works made between 1998 and 2013, available on Spotify, iTunes, Google Play as well as on Soundcloud (below).
Given the passion for geography and photography, travel is a natural consequence. I hope I can find the time to tell something about my travel experiences, trying to inspire or help those people ready to leave. For now, the traces of the places I visited – +40 countries – are in some photo galleries published on Flickr, Instagram and Tumblr as well as on Swarm.
I am a contributor on Google Maps (currently 8/10), Yelp and Tripadvisor.
I am a proud member some hiking groups in Belgium, in particular the Brussels Hiking Group. Although Belgium is not mountainous, it offers interesting routes both in Wallonia and in Flanders. I also regularly bike, being my main mean of transport for years.
